My daughter has been a client of Betsy Gilbert’s for about two years. I cannot say enough good things about “Miss Betsy” and her business, Therapy Works, LLC. My daughter Christine is nine years old, has Down Syndrome and severe apraxia. My daughter also has ADHD and can be a behavioral challenge at times. Miss Betsy and her staff rise up to the task. We have seen significant improvement with Christine’s speech and now that we also utilize an OT (Miss Kaitlin) from Therapy Works, we are seeing an improvement in her gross and fine motor skills as well. Miss Betsy and her staff are very knowledgeable, friendly but professional and flexible when needed, both with scheduling as well as tailoring the session to the needs (and behavior) of my daughter! If Christine is not responding to a certain activity, they are quick to switch it up just for her. If my daughter is “in” to Peppa Pig at the time, they will tailor the lesson around that interest. It is an added bonus that their staff comes to me at my home, so that I do not need to travel with her. I am proud and honored to know Betsy Gilbert and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking these services for their child.

Therapy Works has been a part of our life since our daughter was 9-months old. Their approach to speech and occupational therapy has been incredibly effective in allowing our daughter with Down syndrome to reach her goals at a rapid rate! Our daughter eagerly awaits their weekly visits thanks to the therapists fun and play based approach to learning. The therapists are critical members of our daughters team. We don’t know where we would be without them!
